We price per pound on hanging weight. A 60% holding fee reserves your share, the balance splits into two equal payments, and the final invoice reconciles to actual hanging weight. Prefer to spread it further? Klarna or Afterpay are available. Processing at Maxwell Custom Beef is included in the price.
| Share | Hanging Wt. | Take-home | Price / lb | Total | Holding fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Whole | 750–848 lbs | ~500–570 lbs | $7.49 | $5,617.50–$6,351.52 | $3,370.50 |
| Half | 375–424 lbs | ~250–285 lbs | $7.49 | $2,808.75–$3,175.76 | $1,685.25 |
| Quarter | 188–212 lbs | ~125–142 lbs | $7.49 | $1,408.12–$1,587.88 | $844.87 |
| Eighth | 47–106 lbs | ~32–71 lbs | $7.49 | $352.03–$793.94 | $211.22 |
Ranges reflect normal variation in finished animal size; your final invoice is actual hanging weight × $7.49/lb. Take-home is typically about two-thirds of hanging weight. The 60% holding fee and your two follow-up payments both count toward that total — nothing here is an extra fee. Processing at Maxwell Custom Beef is included — there's no separate locker bill.
60% holds it, then two payments
A 60% holding fee reserves your share. The remaining 40% comes in two equal payments before pickup. Every dollar counts toward your total — the final invoice is simply actual hanging-weight lbs × $7.49, reconciled to your payments. Processing is included.
Klarna · Afterpay

We're working on EBT/SNAP approval to expand access. If that applies to you, reach out — we'll handle it case-by-case while approval lands.
Lower input cost, lower price to you.
Most beef-share operations finish on grass or in feedlots. We finish under roof in hoop buildings — which sounds expensive, but it actually drops our feed cost meaningfully because the animals stay dry, eat consistently, and don't burn calories fighting weather.
Lower feed cost means we don't have to charge a premium to make this sustainable. We'd rather keep the price down and bring more of you with us than chase a luxury-product margin.
We also keep the supply chain short: animals are born or sourced from genetics we know, raised on our farm, processed at one locker we trust, picked up by you. There's no distributor markup, no marketing-agency line item, no retail middle.
"We plan to keep the price down so we are not gouging — keeping a satisfied customer in return."
